HOLI SKIN CARE
Festival of colors is round the corner. Everyone has his own style of playing the Holi, some like to it play it wet, some are more towards dry Holi.
Well you play the way you want to but one must take care of the skin properly.With addition of harmful chemicals in the colors, skin is likely to be the most effective part of the body as it is the only exposed one.
Too much wet holi should be avoided as this can cause many health problems. Pouring a bucket full of water on somebody is a very bad idea.
Here are some tips for playing Safe in Holi :
GUARD YOUR SKIN
Mustard oil is the best guard for your skin.Apply according to need,it absorbs the colors helping in their easy cleaning.
Coconut oil and petroleum jelly can also be applied
Oiling your hairs is also very important as dyes can damage your hair.
FACE PACKS
If you have oily skin then colors may cause pimples and rashes as colors make skin dry.In this case vegetable and fruit facepacks are very helpful.
DARK COLORS
Avoid dark colors as these have harmful chemicals which can have adverse affects
EYE CARE
Immediately rinse your eyes if color goes inside them. This is very important as ignoring eyes can cause temporary blindness.Rose water is also an option.
CLOTHING
White colors are best suited for the fest. However Jeans with T-Shirt is not bad either.Avoid wearing transparent clothes as these look awful in case you get all wet.
GO HERBAL
Herbal colors are fastly relacing the chemical colors.These are skin friendly and less harmful.These are eaisly available and are also cheaper.
HOMEMADE COLORS
Gulal can be prepared at home by simply boiling red sandalwood or mixing it with Atta or Maida
A mixture of Turmeric and Besan can also be used.
